ACI World’s Secondee Program offers aviation experts from member organizations a unique opportunity to join the ACI World team in Montreal over a two-year term. Selected candidates work in a diverse, global environment, gain valuable professional experience, and develop international connections within the airport industry.

As a result of their tenure with ACI World, many secondees have gone on to fill leadership roles within their respective organizations.

The Secondee Program is open to employees of ACI member organizations who meet program eligibility requirements.

Offered in partnership by ACI World, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the Young Aviation Professionals Program (YAPP) is a unique development opportunity to build the capacity of the next generation of aviation professionals.

Through YAPP’s year-long placements, selected participants gain knowledge and experience while contributing to one or more of ICAO's strategic objectives under the mentorship of an ICAO subject-matter expert. They also work closely with ACI World and IATA, focusing on the collaborative work between ICAO and the airline and airport industries.

Program Eligibility:

Applicants must have one of the two advanced university qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent 
  • Bachelor’s degree supplemented with a commercial pilot’s license or an air traffic control license

A minimum of two years of employment in the aviation industry or aviation-related regulatory activities
